Talent Acquisition is a critical function within the organization. The quality of talent we attract and hire directly impacts business results. The Recruiter plays a key role in ensuring that open positions are filled with qualified, talented candidates. Under direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Recruiter will interface with a multitude of hiring managers to create recruiting plans, source, prescreen, interview (if appropriate), conduct offer negotiations and administration and track the talent acquisition process in our applicant tracking system.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- With input from hiring managers, create a recruiting and hiring plan for each assigned position.
- Create and post jobs to various career sites and other internal and external outlets.
- Conduct regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine effectiveness of recruiting and hiring plans.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with internal customers and external sources to fulfill service expectations and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Conduct screening and, if appropriate, interviews with candidates, ensuring minimum qualifications are met.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on matters related to hiring, e.g. compensation, benefits, relocation, and other policies pertaining to effective recruitment, as appropriate.
- Make recommendations to hiring managers for final selection.
- Negotiate with candidates and extend formal employment offers, ensuring consistency and compliance with all applicable company policies and employment laws.
- Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in established HR systems and files.
- Prepare and present offer letters; collect signed offer letters and store in the applicant tracking system.
- Ensure adherence to all hiring policies, practices and applicable employment laws.
- Monitor background checks for candidates in contingent offer stage.
- Participate in strategic recruiting projects in order to advance the function and reputation of the Talent Acquisition team.
- Foster a team-focused attitude that seeks to build a reputation on high performance and consulting skills, versus simply filling a position.
- If applicable, represent PEC, AIU and/or CTU at job fairs and other events.
- Effectively manage assigned job requisitions and ensure constant communication with hiring managers, TA Manager and peers in order to effectively and efficiently fill open positions.

Education and Experience: Minimum
- High School Diploma from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)

2-3 years’ full-cycle recruitment experience in a direct hire, non-agency environment

Demonstrated experience creating sourcing strategies

Knowledge of appropriate employment practices and laws

Demonstrated experience leveraging technology-driven recruiting solutions and tools, including an Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Experience using Boolean and X-ray techniques, cold calling, job boards, social networking and internal databases to research and source candidates

Strong understanding of social media and employer branding resources to market company and attract passive job seekers

Experience with high-volume recruiting in a B2C environment.
Preferred

Bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)

Corporate role recruiting experience

Working knowledge of the ADP
