React Native Developer - Hippo Education

Required Skills: 

● React Native/Expo and React
● Familiarity with GraphQL and Typescript
● Proficient with GitHub
● BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
● Excellent communication skills
● A great sense of humor, optimism, and collaboration

Principle Responsibilities:

● Build new features, maintain existing features, and investigate production issues for both iOS and Android React Native applications.
● Participate in code reviews and suggest technology and process improvements.
● Collaborate with other developers, design team, and product owners to understand user goals and deliver solutions efficiently.
● Develop understanding of all of Hippo's products and product types, and develop expertise in one or more areas of our codebase.
● Collaborate as part of an agile team (2 week sprints, weekly task grooming meetings, sprint reviews).

Bonus points for experience with:

• Experience working in fast paced and high-performance Agile teams
• Knowledgeable with testing and building tools (Npm, Bower, Jest, Chai)
• Sequelize ORM, jsonapi, RESTful APIs
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
