Manager - Student Account Services - Perdoceo Education Corporation

General Summary
Oversee day-to-day operation of the student account services team. Work in coordination with Director to lower past due cash via improved processes and operational enhancements. Responsible for developing and coaching of staff members.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for outlining and implementing the scope of services to be provided to the campuses, defining the business rules under which the services will be conducted
- Address and pursue collections on delinquent student payments
- Prepare reports measuring student accounts levels and collection success
- Develop and maintain performance objectives and corporate accounts receivable goals to ensure minimal bad debt exposure
- Pursue collection of past due accounts and delinquent balances
- Serve as liaison between schools and corporate IT with respect to issues and functionality of the student portal
- Audit methods and procedures of accounts receivable function to improve efficiency
- Standardize school level collection and student account activities when dealing with student balances
- Oversee the successful completion of staff daily tasks including transcript request, book and diploma holds, etc.
- Work with school partners to manage hold groups.
- Other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Minimum
- Strong customer service skills
- 3+ years’ experience in collection or customer service industry
- Proficient knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Education and Experience: Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree desired
- Ability to write narrative reports and training materials
- Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies
- Strong orientation towards high-volume, fast paced, time sensitive business operations
- Knowledge of internal control concepts and principles
- Knowledge of financial aid process or experience
- High ethical standards
