QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

·         Proven experience (5 years) in managing and administering Learning Management Systems, preferably in an educational institution setting.

·         Strong technical skills in Canvas including system configuration, troubleshooting, and integration.

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.

·         Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices for creating inclusive online learning environments.

·         Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data for informed decision-making.

·         Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

·         Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional user support and experiences.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical material related to the academic discipline, and University policies and procedures. Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and work with faculty subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop syllabi. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from learners, Deans, Department Chairs, Academic Advisors, and other University associates.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts (such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions) to practical situations. Some mentoring assignments may require additional mathematical skills.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism such as formulas, scientific equations, and graphs. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must regularly talk and actively listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include computer technology and written materials which require close vision and color vision. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

As a remote employee, he/she must provide a workspace that is safe and conducive to a business atmosphere where staff can interact with and provide undivided attention, removed from distractions.
