The Financial Aid Administrator is responsible for determining and awarding financial aid eligibility, reviewing documents associated with financial aid eligibility for student population determined by business need. This role will require a strong emphasis on technical skills, an ability to analyze information to determine eligibility and required information from students. The work must be completed in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policies.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review and document student eligibility through the National Student Loan Data System

  • Calculate student Financial Aid eligibility upon ISIR receipt and ensure adherence to the determined contact strategy within your team

  • Arrange any necessary institutional student payment plans to assist students in funding their education

  • Assist Online Financial Aid Advisors with packaging for all students by providing necessary information that can facilitate conversations over the phone

  • Review student schedule changes and adjust awards accordingly

  • NEAP and Military student processing

  • Review student documents to ensure accuracy and completeness and document student files appropriately

  • Monitor past due cash including communication to the disbursements team within Student Aid Solutions

  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, integrity and ethical standards, meeting compliance standards as established by business and government regulations

  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience: Minimum

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Education and Experience: Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)

  • Financial Aid/Student Accounts Experience

  • Experience in service-related industry
