Dev Ops Data Engineer - Hippo Education

Required Skills:

• Advanced experience with AWS or other cloud providers (Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, Lambda)
• Proficiency building and maintaining scripts, code, and build tools for automation, process, and performance improvement
• Experience building ETLs against various sources, including REST endpoints
• Experience with SQL profiling, performance tuning and data ingestion into Data Warehouses
• Experience with implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of cloud services to maximize uptime and other performance metrics
• A track record of building resilient systems with disaster recovery in mind
• Excellent communication skills
• A great sense of humor, optimism, and collaboration

Bonus points for experience with:

• Working with fast paced and high-performance Agile teams
• Experience writing API methods (GraphQL, RESTful APIs, using Node.js or other languages)
• Configuring and maintaining alerting and reporting tools to monitor the health and performance of infrastructure
• Familiarity with build tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related, or equivalent experience
