The Veterans Affairs Certification Coordinator is responsible for maintaining compliance with financial aid regulations pertaining to the electronic processing of remote and campus students’ veteran benefits. The position requires Certification and enrollment information reporting to VA. A student-centered, customer service approach is necessary for follow-up phone contact with students, requiring understanding of the online and campus financial aid process.
  • Certify veteran benefits
  • Report enrollment information changes
  • Assist in Financial Aid file maintenance and review
  • Administer veteran benefit and Department of Defense funding programs
  • Other miscellaneous duties as required based on enrollment demands

Required Skills

 

  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, customer service, organization and motivational skills
  • Computer proficiency with Web-based applications and electronic communication is required

 

Required Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent) preferred
  • Financial Aid experience, preferred
  • Experience in working in a regulated business/industry is highly preferred
