Adjunct Instructor - Nursing - CTU Online
RN-BSN Program:
- Active, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the US; Terminal Degree in Nursing; Minimum 5 years professional nursing experience.
MSN Program:
- Terminal degree in nursing; active unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the US; Terminal Degree in Nursing; 5 years professional nursing experience; 3 years’ experience in graduate nursing education.
Doctoral Program:
- Terminal Degree in Nursing with an active, unencumbered RN US license; Terminal degree may be in a non-Nursing related field that supports the DNP curriculum (e.g. Research, Pharmacy, Public Health, or Organizational Leadership.); Five years professional experience; Two years teaching experience in a graduate (master’s or doctoral) program.
These positions are part-time in nature, and are filled on a term basis to meet the changing needs of the College of Nursing. Courses are offered days, weekends and evenings. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter which details how they satisfy the outlined requirements, and a current resume/CV. Interviews will begin immediately upon receipt of completed applications and confirmation that minimum qualifications are met. If selected to interview, you will be asked to provide copies of unofficial transcripts (all degree levels). If you are hired, you will be required to submit a certified official transcript. Candidate also will be required to complete to a satisfactory background check.

Qualifications:

A minimum of occupational (i.e. practical) experience in the subject field in which you teach

Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills, as demonstrated by: data sheet, diplomas, degrees, transcripts, certifications, CVs/Resumes, and personal interview.

A conferred terminal degree in Nursing from an institution regionally accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent), additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply

*CTU generally compensates its Nursing Adjunct Faculty on a per quarter credit hour rate that takes into consideration a variety of factors, including campus (online and campus), degree level (undergraduate and graduate), and faculty rank (Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor); the base rate for an Adjunct Faculty can range between $475 and $675 per credit hour.
