The Strategic Account Executive will be the face of Colorado Technical University’s Education Alliance Center to external businesses. The role’s primary focus includes developing relationships with key accounts and growing account engagement. This position can be performed out of a remote work office environment.

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.

  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.

  • Drives and maintains high customer service levels

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs

  • Create and execute marketing strategy to position CTU’s education offerings within existing client base.

  • Maintain knowledge of business and industry developments that may offer potential for new business opportunities for CTU, e.g. merger or acquisition, major new business launch, etc.

  • Secure Opportunities within assigned accounts to expand account engagement.

  • Leverage relationships with internal stakeholders to service external clients (I.E. academics, operations, marketing, etc.).

  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of client business needs and awareness of competitors in the education space.

  • Understand education industry trends and know how they affect the CTU relationship with its clients.

  • Accurately maintain Salesforce database with information pertaining to assigned accounts.

  • Excellent prospecting skills with ability to achieve agreement goals and work well in results oriented environment

  • Strong personal presence with excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Skilled networker confident with “C” suite leader conversations.

  • High level client relationship building skills, including excellent listening skills to uncover and understand client needs

  • Excellent presentations skills (large and small groups)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and drive to expected results

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overnight and weekend travel

  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 50%



Education and Experience:  Minimum

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)

  • 3-5 Years of Corporate Account Management and/or B2B marketing experience

  • Proven track record of success in delivering corporate account growth

 

Education and Experience:  Preferred

  • MBA from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)

  • Salesforce.com experience

  • Demonstrated ability selling to the C-suite and developing educational partnerships within

  • Fortune 1000 and like-size companies.
